Inside the workspace.

CLIRUN is built around one question at a time and the chain that answers it. Here is what each part of the workspace does, and why it works the way it does.

A chain, not a paragraph. Every answer is a set of typed links you can inspect one at a time.

Links sit in three lanes. Physical links are about ships, plants and cargo. Mechanism links explain how a physical fact becomes a price. Financial links reach cost, margin and exposure. The point where an argument stops being about ships and starts being about money is a line you can point at.

  • Typed relationships such as routes through, processes into and regulated by
  • Each link shows its sources and how strong they are
  • Move, pin or hide nodes. You can't draw a link the evidence doesn't support

Evidence on every link. Not a list of links at the end of an essay.

A link goes on the chain only when a published document states it. Open any link and you read that sentence as it was published, with who published it and when CLIRUN read it.

  1. The claim, in CLIRUN's words. One or two sentences on how the first thing reaches the second.
  2. The sentence that supports it.Quoted exactly as published. If the words aren't in the document, the link isn't drawn.
  3. Who said it.The tier depends on who issued the document and how it arrived, not on how official the website looks.
  4. When CLIRUN read it.A timestamp and a fingerprint of the text, so a later edit to the page can't quietly change the evidence.
Primary authority Tier 1
Delivered directly by the body that issued it, such as a ministry, regulator or exchange.
Reputable Tier 2
A named organisation with editorial accountability and a corrections policy.
Secondary Tier 3
Credible, but reporting on a primary document rather than being one.

Every chain names its weakest link. In the Hormuz chain it's oil refining to jet fuel, which rests on a single tier 2 source. That's the step to question first.

Gaps you can see. "No evidenced connection" is a finished answer.

It's easy to write a fluent paragraph that connects any two things. CLIRUN draws a link only when a source states it. When one is missing you see where the chain stops, what was searched, and what kind of document would close the gap.

A chain that stops

How does a crude price shock reach Indian paint manufacturers?

Crude oil price Commodityprocesses intoNaphtha cracking Technologyprocesses intoSolvents and resin intermediates Commodityuses as inputPaints and coatings End-use industryThe evidence ends hereManufacturer gross margin Not evidenced
Why it stops
No public document we could verify states what a change in input costs does to the margin these manufacturers report. Inferring it would be our arithmetic presented as their disclosure.
What would close it
A filing or regulator publication that states the input cost to margin relationship directly.

Research complete · insufficient evidence

No evidenced connection.

How does monsoon variability reach semiconductor fabrication in India?

We found no source that states a causal link between the things this question connects. That is the finding.

Chat that points at the work. Answers refer to the chain, not to memory.

Ask which link is weakest, what a source says, or why a branch exists. A reply can select the node on the canvas, open a report, or point you to the source behind a link.

Which is the weakest link?

CLIRUN

Oil refining to jet fuel. It rests on one tier 2 source, Indian Oil Corporation's annual report, which says jet fuel comes out of the same distillation units as diesel. So a refinery slowdown reaches it directly.

Reports that keep their sources. Save the finding with its citations attached.

A report carries the chain and the quotes it rests on. Export it as Markdown and it arrives in your notes or your memo with its citations intact.

Hormuz exposure, committee brief

Summary

A closure of the Strait reaches Indian aviation through fuel cost rather than capacity. Six evidenced links, each one a documented dependency.

Evidence the brief rests on
DGCA
Aviation turbine fuel remained the single largest component of scheduled operators' cost of operations for the period under review.

Prepared from the evidenced chain. Nothing here is a view on any carrier's securities.

One project, everything in it. Chains, chats, notes and sources stay together.

A project holds the question's chain, the conversations about it, your notes and the documents it quoted. Come back a week later and the desk is where you left it.

What leaves CLIRUN, and what doesn't. Search services see public terms, never your question.

Your question is read by the language model CLIRUN uses, so it can tell what you're asking about. From there, only terms from CLIRUN's own public vocabulary go out to search.

  1. Your question

What happens to Indian aviation if the Strait of Hormuz closes?

  2. Public terms

Strait of Hormuz, crude oil imports, jet fuel, Indian aviation. Nothing you typed.

  3. Public pages

Ministries, regulators, exchanges, filings and the press. Pages are quoted as material, never followed as instructions.

  4. A reviewed answer

Every answer is checked for advice language, such as buy, sell or hold, before it reaches your screen.
